Story of an orphan ! - A poem

Everybody in their teenage experiences different kind of emotions; love, jealousy, sadness, anxiety, joy, curiosity, anger, admiration, loneliness, dissatisfaction, hopefulness, and much more. In that age, we generally compare our lives with others and try to connect with all these emotions. This is a beautiful process of growing and becoming a better person.

I was always curious to frame my emotions and collect them on a paper. I wrote this poem under the feeling of fear. This poem is a dark story of an orphan, who couldn't survive the heaviness in her heart. So here it is ...

An orphan in the woods

A bridge over the drain in a wood,
And a round around the grand tree.
A heap of pale leaves piled up by the swift wind.
A sensation in her heart, the whole wood cried when announced orphan.

She was sitting under the tree, talking to the trees.
Every particle listening to her, even broken wires started creep.
By the fear of bullied by people, she chose the solitude of forest.
Which has more patience than those who abandoned when they called her burden.

Since that dark night, she is lying under that tree.
The wind has got calmer, not to disturb her hard earned sleep.
The wood in that winter, felt helpless to snuggle.
Her sheer clothes in that cold, couldn't hold her shiver.

Her tears are frozen, though the wood is crying.
Her eyes on the bridge and ears in all corners, are now tired.
The only hope, if somebody come looking for her.
She need to survive longer, she need to keep trying.
Only the heart is beating, and all of sudden the wood stopped crying.

Everything seems still, everyone is silent and all around white.
After a long wait, bridge told the grand tree about a gentleman's arriving.

The wind made herself cold, pushed him under the grand tree and threw him on the heap of leaves.
He found the girl under the tree, covered by heap.
When he hugged the frigid girl, her soul got free.
Her cold frozen body, when taken for cremation, the whole wood cried.
In that chilling night, the whole wood fired.

Hope you enjoyed ...
